GillProp Gets Green Light from the City for Storage Facility
City approves East Memphis storage facility
The Memphis City Council approved the development of a new storage facility in East Memphis on July 21.
The new development is slated for 900 Reddoch Street and Poplar Avenue across the street from Bud Davis Cadillac and the Blue Plate Cafe. Currently, the lot is occupied by the Colonial Apartments. The development by Gill Properties Inc. won't take place until 2017.
According to the Memphis Daily News, the feelings about the development from the neighborhood homeowners was mixed but the City Council approved the development unanimously.
