A $30 million permit for a dual-branded Hilton hotel has been pulled, signaling the start of a massive project in Germantown.

The hotel project is part of the $90 million TraVure development from Gill Properties, which was approved in February. The hotel is being built by the Desai Hotel Group out of Jackson, Mississippi, and will be branded as a Hilton Garden Inn and a Home2 Suites by Hilton.

The hotel portion is only one piece of the project. Ray GIll of Gill Properties toldMemphis Business Journal that along with the hotel, the TraVure development will feature a five-story office building, a covered parking garage, restaurants and retail outlets.

The address listed on the permit was 6799 Poplar Ave., just east of the intersection of Poplar and Kirby Parkway.
