    After graduating from Webb School 1969 and Sewanee: The University of the South 1973, Gill started selling suburban acreage and industrial property in 1979. Gill Properties was founded in 1983, specializing in sales and leasing of retail properties, land and developing mixed-use projects. Gill Properties has built, leased and managed its retail centers, office and office-showroom projects, self-storage facilities, and developed commercial land, mixed-use projects and residential lots for the past 30 years. Storage Towne of America was founded in 1998 and has grown to 400,000 sf in 4 facilities. Recently, Gill has received zoning approval and purchased 3 sites doubling the size Storage Towne: 100,000 sf in Collierville on Winchester, 150,000 sf next to Germantown on Hacks Cross and 200,000 sf on Poplar at Reddoch. Recently, Gill received final approval for the $90 million TraVure urban, mixed use development on Poplar at Kirby Parkway in Germantown which will include 2 Hilton Hotels, a 150,000 sf Class "A“ office and garage complex and a 2 story 35,000 sf retail/office building. In 2014, Gill Properties opened an office in Nashville, TN to identify development opportunities in the booming Middle Tennessee market. Over the years, Gill Properties and Storage Towne of America has successfully conducted business with many regional and national companies in the Memphis area market.

    After graduating from Memphis University School, Brown received his BA in Political Science at Rhodes College. On a daily basis, Brown deals in commercial real estate sales, leasing, development and management. Since joining Gill Properties in 2003, Brown has focused on property management, landlord representation primarily in the retail sector, tenant representation as well as land acquisition and disposition. He also coordinates and implements all entitlement and zoning for new real estate development projects. In addition, Brown operates Storage Towne of America, in Memphis, Bartlett, and Collierville. Currently, Storage Towne has over 300,000 square feet and will be adding two new facilities in the near future.

    Patty Bullock has been a licensed real estate broker for over 40 years. She started her career in commercial real estate working for a New York real estate developer, M.D. Carlisle Realty Corp. She was quickly promoted to Vice President of Realty; responsibilities included working with construction to renovate buildings that were acquired, leasing, marketing and managing the office-building portfolio. Patty has been a broker in Memphis for 15 years. She has worked for companies such as CB Richard Ellis, Crews Realty and a developer Weston Company.
    Patty has worked for Gill Properties since September 2009. She is active in landlord and tenant representation and site acquisitions.

    Jennifer Stewart joined Gill Properties in April 2004. Her responsibilities include leasing of retail space, lease negotiations, landlord and tenant representation and site acquisition. In addition, she conducts cold call campaigns, renews existing tenants, procures and qualifies property showings for interested prospects, and conducts market research. She is a Memphis transplant who has lived in many parts of the country and Europe. Prior to joining Gill Properties Jennifer was in the telecommunications industry as telephony facility assignment supervisor, provisioning specialist, LNP coordinator and E911 record maintenance at various CLEC’s throughout Arkansas and Texas.

    Frank joined Gill Properties in October 2019 as Vice President of Brokerage. Prior to working at Gill Properties, Frank worked at Loeb Properties from 1998 to 2019 as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Principal Broker of Loeb Realty Group, LLC, the company’s Third Party Brokerage and Tenant Representation Services affiliate.
    Frank has more than 27 years of Commercial Real Estate experience spanning Retail, Office, and Industrial transactions across 30 States. His list of clients include: Dollar General, Family Dollar, Great Clips, Arby's, Starbuck's, Sav-A-Lot, Valvoline, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Paragon Bank.  Gill Properties also provides Landlord Representation and Investment Brokerage across the Mid South.

    The native Memphian attended Christian Brothers High School and graduated from The University of Mississippi in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He later graduated from The University of Memphis with a Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Real Estate in 1994. Frank earned his CCIM designation in 1996 and his Real Property Administrator (RBA) designation in 1998.

    Frank also spent 3½ years with the auto parts retailer AutoZone where he was the top producer of new store sites for two consecutive years. He then spent more than 3 years with Federal Express Corporation in its Corporate Real Estate Department where his responsibilities included leasing office and warehouse facilities across the U.S.

    Frank also serves in leadership roles with several civic organizations including current chair of the Oxford, MS Boys and Girls Clubs, past Chairman of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis, and serves on the board of The Memphis Neighborhood Christian Center. Additionally, he is past Secretary Treasurer of Memphis Area Association of Realtors, past President of Memphis Metro CCIM Chapter, and a member of the 2004 Leadership Memphis Class.

    Barry’s diverse background approaches the discipline of commercial real estate brokerage from all angles. In over a 19 year span, he has represented property owners in the sale of their property, leased space in shopping centers, sold investment grade income properties, been involved from the ground up with commercial retail developments, and sold or leased commercial land (retail, office, industrial, c-store, ground leases, recreational, and agricultural), in excess of over four hundred and fifty million dollars.

    He joined Gill Properties as Vice President of Brokerage in 2019. His past experience includes 7 years at Loeb Properties and twelve years with Trezevant Realty Corporation, after earning his BBA with a Double Major in Real Estate and Managerial Finance with a minor in Banking & Finance at the University of Mississippi. Barry’s focus in recent years has been tenant representation spanning retail, hotels, office, c-stores and industrial deals, as well as landlord selling & leasing, primarily in the retail segment across several states. He has assisted in development and site evaluations, as well as tenant representation across retail, office, and industrial sectors. Additionally, Barry enjoys brokering sales for farmland, as well as hunting and recreational properties.

    Barry is married to Eleanore Kelly Maynard, a residential broker with Hobson Realtors. They have two sons, Edward (3) and Walker (1) and a beloved West Highland Terrier, Duke. The Maynards are members of Independent Presbyterian Church.

    Barry serves as the President/Chairman of the Board for the Memphis Leadership Foundation (WWW.MLFONLINE.ORG). Memphis Leadership started ministries such as Streets Ministries, SOS, Memphis Athletic Ministries, Christ Community Health Services and currently MLP oversees and controls over 20 non-profit ministries in Memphis, Tennessee. Memphis Leadership handles payroll and back office for over 600 local employees. The Memphis Leadership Foundation seeks to transform lives and communities in Memphis focusing on three core areas: 1.) Incubating ministries and programs including Streets Ministries, SOS, MAM and Christ Community Health Services. 2.) Training and empowering urban, grassroots leaders. 3.) Providing back office services to our nonprofit partners.

    After graduating from St. Agnes Academy, Emily received a BBA in Finance at the University of Memphis. During her last semester at the U of M, Emily accepted an internship at Gill Properties assisting brokers and learning the commercial real estate business. In May 2015, Emily received her affiliate brokers license and joined Gill Properties full time. Her responsibilities include landlord and tenant representation, lease negotiations, property showings, and market research.

    Janet Ferrell is a native Memphian and White Station Alum. She joined Gill Properties in August 2006 as the receptionist. Meanwhile, she attended the University of Memphis and received her BA in Business Administration in August 2011. She graduated top of her class and was promoted to controller. She is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, financial reporting and monthly closings.

    Debie Salera joined Gill Properties in November 2010 as an Administrative Assistant. Prior to accepting this position Debie graduated from Halls High School in 1979 and attended Dyersburg State Community College through 1981 in pursuit of a Special Education Degree. In 1981 with a change in majors, she attended State Technical Institute of Memphis and graduated in 1983 with honors, receiving two Associate of Science degrees one in Business Technology Accounting and the other in Computer Operations.  In 1984, she then accepted a position with a local accounting firm and in 1985 was employed by Teledyne Total Power.

    In 1990, Debie’s husband accepted a position in Saudi Arabia with Saudi Airlines. While living abroad she worked as an Executive Secretary to the International School system in the city of Jeddah.  After their daughter was born, she and her husband moved back to Memphis, TN in 1985.  She then spent several years as a domestic engineer, raising her daughter and volunteering as a temporary foster care parent.  In 1987, she and her husband owned a home-based business, JED Enterprises. Debie then took on a part-time job in the accounting department for a local commercial cleaning company from 1997-2010. She is married to Ernie Salera, employed by Fed-Ex Express. They have one daughter, Jeddah who will be attending the University of Chattanooga in the fall of 2012.

    Karmen brings over 30 years of business experience in Facilities Management and Portfolio/Lease Administration. She joined Gill Properties as Property Manager for the TraVure Building in Germantown, TN where she is responsible for all aspects of commercial property management including operations, budget preparation, new tenant construction, tenant relationships, and preparing operating expense reconciliations.

    Prior to joining Gill Properties, Karmen worked as a Property Manager for LEDIC Management (Evolve) for 12 years, managing multiple Apartment Communities. She then transitioned to CBRE for 11 years as a Portfolio Manager, where she was responsible for managing a large team specializing in lease administration, database management, and rent processing for up to 19 clients globally.   She later moved to the Facilities Management team where she managed a 3 building, 420,225 SF Business Centre and a large Retail Shopping Centre. She then worked for Accenture in their Real Estate Workplace Solutions Group as a consultant, specializing in global real estate portfolio management, real estate technologies and processing strategies to drive optimal performance, increased portfolio management and cost reductions.

    Butch brings a wealth of knowledge from over 30 years of experience in every facet of the operation, maintenance, and repair of a commercial property.

    Butch joined Gill Properties in March of 2018 as the Building Engineer for the TraVure Building in Germantown, TN. He is responsible for managing the core business operations such as scheduling and organizing outside vendors, managing budgets, maintaining manufacturer’s warranty requirements, and performing and managing preventative maintenance tasks.

    Previously, he served as the Chief Building Engineer for CBRE for 16 years, where he managed multiple commercial buildings. Prior to that he was the Construction Manager for Koner Properties for 5 years and also worked for the Corps of Engineers as an equipment operator. Butch has also has owned his own Plumbing and a Home Re-Modeling Company.

    Charlotte Mayfield recently joined Gill Properties as Marketing Director. She will create marketing ideas for our listings, create social content to keep us in touch with our community, design the property brochures and maintaining our online exposure. Prior to accepting the position, Charlotte worked for twenty years in Procurement and Logistics with a Bartlett company. After she began a career in government, as the Chief Executive Assistant for the Shelby County Circuit Court.

    Terri Smithson joined the team at Gill Properties in April, 2023, as Office Manager.
    In addition to Terri keeping our office running smoothly, she maintains
    Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable for our Vendors and Tenants.

    She brings her experience and dedication of 20 years from one of the oldest and
    largest Compounding Pharmacy’s in Memphis as Account Specialist. Terri’s past time
    include being outdoors for long walks, listening to good music/bands, and enjoying family time.
