After graduating from Memphis University School, Brown received his BA in Political Science at Rhodes College. On a daily basis, Brown deals in commercial real estate sales, leasing, development and management. Since joining Gill Properties in 2003, Brown has focused on property management, landlord representation primarily in the office and retail sector, tenant representation as well as land acquisition and development. He also coordinates and implements all entitlement and zoning for new real estate development projects at Gill Properties, Inc, with a primary focus on “ground up” development of retail, office, self storage. In addition, Brown operates Storage Towne of America, a self storage company which develops, owns, and operates in the mid south region.
Brown volunteered on the executive and managment committees for ULI Memphis; serves on Small Scale Development Product Council in ULI National, served on Land Use Committee for the 3.0 Comprehensive Plan for Memphis, an active member of Lambda Alpha (LAI) Memphis Chapter, and is a member of the Memphis and Shelby County Land Use Control Board (planning commission) and the Memphis Landmarks Commission. Lastly, Brown has continued to volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House.
Brown is married to an amazing lady, Kendall, and they have two boys, Browning (10 yrs old) and Benjamin (8 yrs old).
